ITINERARY
Day 1 – Travelling from your chosen pick up to the historic city of Ely which is full of charm and beauty as well as being home to one of the most magnificent cathedrals in England. We will have some free time here before continuing to our hotel in Norwich for a stay of four nights.
Days 2 to 4 – Norwich is the most complete medieval city in Britain with fascinating museums, a magnificent cathedral, Norman castle, cobbled streets, a jumble of medieval lanes and the delightful old Watergate by the riverside.
During your stay we have included the following excursions:
• A full day to the city of Norwich – admire attractive buildings such as Dragon Hall, the Guildhall and 17th century Pulls Ferry with its 15th century arch
over the former canal where ferries used to run. Norwich has been voted one of the top ten shopping destinations in the UK!
• We have included a single journey on the Bure Valley Railway from Aylsham, Norfolk’s longest narrow gauge heritage railway, covering 9 miles of unspoilt countryside to Wroxham. This is followed by a picturesque cruise from Horning along the Broads, one of the most popular inland waterways in Europe.
• Another excursion takes us along the North Norfolk coast by way of Cromer and Sheringham continuing along the coast to Hunstanton. We will also visit the famous Norfolk Lavender before returning by way of Fakenham.
